Assistant Director
Position Overview
The Assistant Director serves as a key leader within the center, supporting daily operations, staff development, and program quality. This role requires a balance of administrative oversight and hands-on engagement in classrooms to ensure excellence in care and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director in daily operations, licensing compliance, and program management
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to teaching staff
- Ensure implementation of curriculum aligned with early childhood best practices
- Maintain strong communication with families and staff
- Oversee classroom environments to ensure safety, organization, and quality standards
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance support
- Uphold the center’s philosophy of empathy, inclusion, and cultural awareness

Preschool Teacher
Position Overview
Preschool Teachers are responsible for creating a structured yet nurturing learning environment where children develop academically, socially, and emotionally through intentional, play-based experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, independence, and respect
- Support children’s social-emotional development, including empathy and conflict resolution
- Observe and assess children’s growth and developmental milestones
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and well-organized classroom
- Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and needs
- Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain consistency and quality
Based on experience, education, classroom leadership, and certification
Teaching Assistant
Position Overview
Teaching Assistants support lead teachers in maintaining a nurturing and structured classroom environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily routines and providing individualized attention to children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
- Support children during routines including meals, rest, and transitions
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children
- Encourage positive interactions and model respectful behavior
- Collaborate with teachers to support each child’s development
Based on experience, reliability, and ability to support classroom operations effectively
Qualifications & Skills (All Positions)
- Genuine passion for working with young children
- Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to create inclusive and culturally responsive environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patient, dependable, and emotionally attuned to children’s needs
- Ability to guide children through problem-solving and social interactions with calm and clarity
- Willingness to obtain CPR & First Aid Certification
- CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent
- Previous experience in a preschool or childcare setting

- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in childcare, preschool, or teaching (preferred)
